GPL wrap: Kotoko reclaim top spot after victory over Karela, Dreams climb into top 4

Asante Kotoko survived a scare at the Len Clay stadium against Karela United on Wednesday afternoon.

The Porcupine Warriors took the lead through in-form forward Emmanuel Gyamfi in the first half.

Karela equalised in the second half but the goal was initially ruled out by the assistant referee. However, the referee has overruled the decision. 

Richard Baidoo brought down Evans Adomako five minutes later in the box.

Fabio Gama stepped up and converted the penalty.

Asante Kotoko after the win move three points above Hearts of Oak in the table.

Dreams FC came from a goal down to beat Eleven Wonders in an entertaining game.

Percious Boah scored two free kicks in 12 second half minutes to completely turn the game around.

The result sends Dreams FC into the top four.

In other results, WAFA outscored Aduana Stars in Sogakope, winning 3-2.

A second half goal from Maxwell Abbey Quaye was enough to Great Olympics all three points against Bechem United.

Berekum Chelsea narrowly beat Elmina Sharks 2-1 as the game between Medeama and King Faisal was called off due to rain.
