The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has announced plans to temporarily close down the Weija Treatment Plants. As a result, customers in the affected areas are advised to store an adequate supply of water in preparation for the shutdown.

The purpose of this shutdown is to facilitate maintenance and repairs to the treatment plants. During this period, water supply to the affected areas will be interrupted. The GWCL is urging customers to store enough water to meet their needs during the closure period.

Further details regarding the duration of the shutdown and any alternative water supply arrangements will be communicated by the GWCL. Customers are encouraged to stay updated through official announcements and to cooperate with the company during this temporary inconvenience.


The upcoming shutdown of the Weija Treatment Plants will impact several areas including Kasoa, Weija, Nyanyano, Tuba, Tetegu, McCarthy Hill, Bortianor, and the surrounding regions.
