
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a strong condemnation of the assault that occurred on a student of Adisadel College by another student.
A distressing video circulating on social media shows one student restraining the victim’s arms and forcefully hitting his face against a metal bed, causing severe bleeding below the victim’s right eye.
In response to this appalling incident, the GES released a statement signed by its Head of Public Relations, Cassandra Twum Ampofo. The statement characterizes the act as a “barbaric act of violence” and emphasizes that the GES is fully committed to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for all students across the country.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) Management has been made aware of a distressing video circulating on social media, depicting an incident of assault between two students of Adisadel College.
The GES expresses deep concern and vehemently condemns this barbaric act of violence within our educational institutions. We believe in fostering a safe and conducive learning environment for all students, where physical and emotional well-being are prioritized.
We commend the school authorities for their prompt action in suspending the perpetrator pending further investigation. Such measures underscore the seriousness with which the school is addressing this issue.
In response to this incident, GES Management has instructed the Regional Director of Education to collaborate with the school authorities and the relevant law enforcement agency to conduct a thorough investigation.
