Following part one of the above issue, Odeefuɔ Kwabena Asiamah who is popularly called Ajagurajah and the Founder of the Ajagurajah Movement in Ghana, has revealed that even when Jesus Christ was born, some animals were slaughtered and sacrificed to welcome his arrival.

According to him, that ritual that was performed by the parents of Christ Jesus was a form of blood covenant which was performed when Jesus was born according to the laws as espoused by Moses”.

This revelation has been necessitated by the fact that most believers think that, slaughtering an animal to sacrifice to a God is not godly and also an outmoded religious practice.

Ajagurajah in wanting his followers to appreciate what he does say, the things he does is also from God and not negative as most people think. He added, he is using Jesus’ example which in the new testament of the Holy Bible to affirm his point.

He quoted from Luke 2:22-24 “When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord” and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”

Expounding on the above, he said that the above exercise was done according to the laws of Moses and he Ajagurajah is a follower of Moses “So if you say Christ has come to die to save you, you’re sick in your head” he stated.

He added the items together with Jesus was taken to Prophet Simon and they were sent to the temple for the sacrifice to be performed. “If the laws of Moses affected Jesus which we all believe is the saviour, then if you criticise me for doing similar things, then is there something wrong with you”.

Further, he added that reading the whole of chapter two of the book of Luke would reveal to you that, the pair of doves or two young pigeons were slaughtered and their blood used to sanctify Jesus according to the law that was established by Moses.

“Due to ignorance people don’t know those who blood covenant are performed for. If they knew, they wouldn’t be talking the way they do”.

In addition, he said when Sampson was born another blood covenant was performed for him.

Supporting that statement, he referenced from Judges 13:17-21 “Then Manoah inquired of the angel of the Lord, “What is your name, so that we may honour you when your word comes true?”

He replied, “Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.” Then Manoah took a young goat, together with the grain offering, and sacrificed it on a rock to the Lord.

And the Lord did an amazing thing while Manoah and his wife watched: As the flame blazed up from the altar toward heaven, the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame.

Seeing this, Manoah and his wife fell with their faces to the ground. When the angel of the Lord did not show himself again to Manoah and his wife, Manoah realized that it was the angel of the Lord”.

To expatriate on this, Ajagurajah said, Manoah who was the father of Sampson took a young goat, together with the grain offering, and offered a burnt sacrifice unto the Lord before Sampson was born according to the Bible narration.

Further, he revealed that, with this account as reported in the Bible, the angel never mentioned its name to Manoah and his wife even when they requested it.

Odeefuo Kwabena Asiamah was teaching on the topic “Blood Covenant” on this official Facebook page called “Ajagurajah Movement”.

In concluding, Kwabena Asiamah averred that, notwithstanding that the Angel didn’t mention its name to Manoah and his wife, they witnessed a miracle that was performed by the angel.

The angel disappeared through the smoke that was emanating from the goat burnt offering that Manoah and his wife were offering to God.

For Sampson to be born, his father performed such a sacrifice to God which was also another form of blood covenant and there is nothing wrong with that.
